Richfield Cemetery

The old pioneer cemetery north of town was discontinued and the graves were removed to the newer now existing Richfield Cemetery. The Idaho Irrigation Company paid for the lots needed for the reburial of these bodies. For several years this cemetery was in very poor condition with no grass, trees and livestock often wandered through and among the graves. In 1929 the woman's club provided money for shrubs and trees and finally in 1934 grass was planted and The American Legion installed a water system. A Cemetery Maintenance District was formed by 1943.
